Forensic Imagery Analysis
Important facts
“CCTV footage is often produced as a compilation disc or has been furnished with indicators or circles. This footage is often reduced in quality and detail, therefore it is important to view the ‘raw data files’ captured from the system itself
This will normally be of optimum quality”
CCTV footage comes in all sorts of guises. It is probably the most popular source of evidence that we use, although there occasions when photographs are used such as passports or historical imagery.
It is best practice to capture known imagery of your clients whether they be detained within a HMP or whether we can organise a visit to a solicitors offices/premises. This gives us the opportunity to identify unique features such as scars, moles and or tattoos that might not be visible to the untrained eye.
During our examination we will also capture video of the client moving their head and body around and will we attempt to capture the client in views similar to the CCTV footage or original evidence.
If there is footage of the client walking, we will often capture imagery of the client walking so that if necessary, we can provide you with this recording should a gait analysis be required.
